The Young Vic Theatre
The Young Vic is a large internationally renowned theatre. Opened in 1970, it has a capacity of 550. In addition to the theatre, there is a large busy restaurant catering all day for clientele. The theatre is world famous for specialising in younger writers and actors productions.
Rainbow International were invited to provide a quotation for carrying out a kitchen extraction canopy and duct clean. The company had another contractor who let them down and the regular cleaning was now far behind schedule, and as a result of the lack of cleaning hot grease was dripping out of the overhead extraction onto chefs working in the kitchen. Rainbow’s swift response and professional work alleviated the problem for them, allowing business to continue with minimal disruption.
A team of technicians attended the site to complete a full maintenance programme for the extraction system in the Theatre’s kitchen, and also to the Claire Theatre Corridor.
The duct work was extensive, rising to the roof where the fans were also serviced by Rainbow’s team.
The works were all carried out to the highest level, to get the kitchen up to not only the required standards, but also to a standard that would exceed the customer’s satisfaction.
Following the excellent work completed by the team of technicians, Rainbow secured a contract to continue with regular planned maintenance cleaning to keep the duct work clean in accordance with the recommendations as laid out in TR19.
